ABOUT THE BOOK
Dentistry is one of the greatest professions in the world. It’s also one of the most misunderstood.
Fred Joyal, the expert in dental consumer marketing, reveals how every single thing you say and do in your practice communicates a message to your patients. Everything is Marketing takes you step-by-step through your business, showing how little changes can have a big impact. Want to attract new patients? Convert more calls into appointments? Increase your case acceptance? Marketing can make it happen.
The first step is learning to recognize that you have the power to transform your patients’ health, happiness and quality of life, then infusing that belief into everything-including your office, your team, your advertising and your chairside conversations. Drawing from over two decades of industry experience, Fred shares insight on topics like:
* Why dentistry’s unique business model is such a huge advantage
* How to create an unexpected and unforgettable patient experience
* Why patients leave your practice-and how you can keep them for life
* Proven ways to boost patient loyalty and word of mouth
* Secrets to building a strong (and happy) team that your patients will fall in love with
* Dealing with the online marketing world, from websites, to Facebook to online reviews.
Fred’s approach to marketing is practical, straightforward and easy to put into action today! It’s an unbeatable strategy for capturing the hearts and minds of patients and experiencing explosive practice growth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mind blowing!, April 7, 2012
By J. Ramellini (Leonardtown, MD USA)
We’ve done some advertising in our practice before, but never any marketing, at least not intentional marketing. This is an important distinction made clear and rammed home by Mr. Joyal. If you don’t know the difference, you’re wasting every dollar you spend on advertising, and you and your team may be sending all the wrong messages to your patients. Unless you are well trained and read on the art of marketing, you need this book. It blew my mind and also will save us a ton of wasted money because as we begin our new advertising campaign, our team will be marketing. We bought a copy for each team member to read, too! I wish I had read this three years ago.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny!, February 19, 2011
I bought this book for a job interview as marketing director of a dental office. Joyal really knows his stuff. I must say that all of his points not only relate to dentistry but make a great crossover into the veterinarian field as well. (I do both) He states that everything beyond an extraction is optional and the crossover relates as everything beyond euthanasia is optional. Sounds stupid and heartless to those on the inside of both practices but to the lay person it is the truth. Great read and easy to comprehend. I highly recommend it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Should be required reading for everyone in dental, January 16, 2011
By Prodentite (CHARLOTTE, NC, United States)
As a dental marketing consultant, this book is probably the best resource out there in regards to the overall marketing of a dental practice. I have the audiobook as well as the hard copy version. Chapter 7’s market segmentation diagram, labeled “Dental IQ Chart” is worth the price of the book itself. It goes into detail about patients’ dental need and dental IQ and how to market to these segments.
I could go on and on, but I’ll finish with this- I tell all my clients to read this book. Read it again, and again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, READ IT! (unless you are my competition), January 9, 2011
This has so many great ideas and concrete scripts that can be used right away in your practice. If you haven’t read this, the guy down the street might have better ideas than you! Very easy read.
5.0 out of 5 stars Are you a dentist?, September 28, 2010
By M. Johnson
Downloaded this book onto my Kindle3…I am only half way through the book and had to write a review!
Easy read. Good practical information on marketing your practice. Insight into “the mind of your patients”. After listening to thousands of 1.800.Dentists calls, he knows what our patients are looking for. Simple reports to run to check the viability of your practice. Are you a dentist? Buy it, download it, read it…not much more to say. JUST DO IT! (Trust me, this book won’t be like the drawer full of endo systems we all purchased over our dental career…laid to rest in dental heaven.)

Think you know all there is to know about running a dental practice? Think again! I’ve read countless articles and publications regarding how to run a dental office, but nothing comes close to this book! It’s a must read for any new dentist, and I would highly recommend it for any dentist who feels like their practice has become boring. Fred’s straightforward approach to the simple things that make a dental practice successful will force any dental professional to stop and think about how and what they can do to make their practice better! Easily the ‘Good to Great’ of the dental profession! Waiting for the sequel Fred!
